Mayble's going to Sydney!

Wow, I looked at my previous journal's and my last 3 are from 2005, 2006 and 2008. Excellent progress obviously!

Anywho, I recently found out that my short film Bus Stopis a finalist in the iiNet Get Animated competition, and as a result will be screening at the Sydney Festival this week! It will play along side other finalist entries before the feature films of the iiNet Films Afloat @ Darling Harbour. I'm very exciting to have it screening in a non-school related competition/event. YAY!

In other news it is 12:13am and it's 31 DEGREES WHAT?? Here I am enjoying the coolest summer we've had in years when suddenly I would rather be at work because at least there it's air conditioned. boo.

and thanks! I just finished my first year of Animation & Interactive Media here in Australia. There isn't much traditional 2D animation involved in it though, which is what I really want to do. Where are you studying?

I just finished a 2 year program at Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC. I think you'd like it, there's definitely an emphasis on the traditional stuff.
